What is an RBT?
According to The Behavior Analyst Certification Board, Inc. (BACB):
“The Registered Behavior Technician® (RBT®) is a paraprofessional certification in behavior analysis. RBTs assist in delivering behavior analysis services and practice under the direction and close supervision of an RBT Supervisor and/or an RBT Requirements Coordinator, who are responsible for all work RBTs perform.”
To achieve this designation, The BACB requires those interested to complete the following steps. We also offer guided help packages, please see below!
Meet Eligibility
Must be at least 18 years old
Must have completed high school-level education or equivalent
Obtain 40 hours of qualified training
Offered by Pieces Behavioral Group
Pass a background check
Successfully complete an RBT initial competency assessment
After Meeting Your Eligibility
Submit an RBT certification application
Pass the RBT certification examination
